Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) / Electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal External Site Link   (https://ebrap.org):
This method is used for research and development (R&D); including basic research, applied research, translational research, and development. It seeks innovative solutions to development challenges from public, private, for-profit, and non-profit partners. Applications are reviewed both scientifically and programmatically.
Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) External Site Link   (https://cdmrp.health.mil/):
These programs execute Congressionally directed funds for Congressional Special Interest (CSI), medical research, development, and translational research. Applications are reviewed scientifically and programmatically.
Defense Small Business Innovative Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Innovation Portal (DSIP) External Site Link   (https://www.dodsbirsttr.mil/):
This program encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) with the potential for commercialization.
Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) External Site Link   (https://mtec-sc.org/):
This mechanism is open for organizations with MTEC membership and allows the opportunity to propose prototype technologies to the technology requirements of solicitation sub-objective areas. A list of MTEC members can be found on the MTEC website.
Government Grants External Site Link   (https://www.grants.gov/):
Open for a limited time and specified to research gaps. Funding limitations and proposal requirements apply. Applications are reviewed both scientifically and programmatically.

*** PAs and Targeted BAAs from CCCRP are released via the Defense Medical Research and Development Program (DMRDP) at CDMRP. CDMRP functions as an execution management agency for CCCRP funding. ***
